Last Updated: March 18, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the American Traditions Private Community website (the “Site”), including all content, features, membership services, forums, groups, and any associated mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is owned and operated by an individual (the “Operator,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, or by clicking “I agree” or similar during registration or checkout, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Membership & Accounts The Service is a private, moderated community focused on the preservation and conservation of American traditions with a particular emphasis on Southern history. Membership is structured in four levels:

  • Heritage Member (free, subject to admin approval)
  • Jefferson Member ($10.00 per month, recurring)
  • Randolph Member ($20.00 per month, recurring)
  • Distinguished Founder ($299.00 one-time lifetime payment)

All new memberships (including free Heritage level) require admin approval. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

3. Payments & Refunds Payments are processed through Stripe in a secure environment. By subscribing to a paid level, you authorize recurring charges (where applicable) until you cancel.

  • Monthly subscriptions may be canceled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • No refunds for partial months or unused time.
  • No refunds for Distinguished Founder lifetime memberships after 7 days from purchase.
  • All sales are final except as required by applicable law.
  • Initial coupons or promotional pricing may be offered at our discretion and do not guarantee future pricing.

4. User Content & Community Guidelines You retain ownership of any content you post (“User Content”). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, distribute, and moderate that content within the Service.

You agree not to post, upload, or share:

  • Content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or violates any third-party rights
  • Spam, advertisements, or commercial solicitation without express permission
  • Personal information of others without consent
  • Malware, viruses, or harmful code

Speech is otherwise free within the community. Controversial topics may be discussed thoughtfully, intelligently, and respectfully. No rules require specific sources or citation formats.

5. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality All site-created content (articles, archives, guidelines, etc.) is owned by the Operator. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share any site-created content outside the community without express written consent and proper attribution to the authors.

You may not share any User Content (your own or others’) outside the community without the express consent of the person(s) who posted it.

6. Privacy We collect only the information necessary for the Service (username, email, profile fields, IP address, payment information via Stripe). We will never sell your personal data or share it with third parties except as required by state or federal law. See our separate Privacy Policy for details.

7. Termination & Removal We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms or at admin discretion. All admin decisions are final. There is no formal appeal process. Upon termination, access ends immediately and no refunds are issued.

8. Dispute Resolution These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. If arbitration is not available, disputes shall be resolved in state or federal courts located in Virginia.

9. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a notice on the Site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Contact Questions about these Terms may be sent to: [email protected]

By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
